Stay Strong

Catch iron issues early to keep your performance at its peak and avoid setbacks.

Our Services

At the heart of our mission is a powerful commitment to empower young female athletes aged 12 to 25 by addressing a critical yet often overlooked issue: low iron and ferritin levels, a hidden cause of fatigue that is frequently misinterpreted as burnout.

This journey began for us when we discovered that our daughter’s high school basketball performance had taken a significant downturn due to undiagnosed iron deficiency—an issue that remained hidden until her senior year of high school. Like many young athletes, her struggles with fatigue and lack of energy were blamed on typical teenage challenges, but those symptoms were indicative of a much larger problem. It was only after we learned about iron deficiency and sought diagnosis and treatment that we witnessed a remarkable transformation. Once her iron levels were restored, she not only regained her enthusiasm for the game but also secured a Division I scholarship and now ranks among the top 20 nationally in rebounding as a true freshman. Her experience fueled our dedication to ensuring that no girl has to face the same struggles that she did.

We exist to catch iron deficiency early, before it disrupts a young athlete's love for their sport. To this end, we provide affordable, walk-in ferritin screening vouchers through local labs, making it easier for parents, coaches, and athletes to understand their health needs. These tests are not only simple but crucial in spotting potential deficiencies that can severely impact performance and energy levels.

As more parents and coaches become educated about the signs and symptoms of low iron, we can prevent the misdiagnosis of burnout and instead promote a proactive approach to athlete wellness. Our initiative is built on real stories like our daughter’s, combined with robust scientific evidence detailing the role of iron in athletic performance.

We invite athletes, parents, and coaches alike to participate in this mission by prioritizing iron health. Together, we can cultivate an environment where young female athletes feel empowered to advocate for their health, understand the importance of nutrition, and remain engaged and passionate about their sports. By raising awareness, supporting proactive testing, and fostering open conversations about nutrition and health, we can ensure that every girl not only enjoys the game she loves but excels in it brilliantly.

Common Questions

What is ferritin?

Ferritin is your body’s iron storage protein — like a “savings account” for iron, keeping it ready to make healthy red blood cells and deliver oxygen to muscles.

In young female athletes, low ferritin is common (15–52% affected) due to growth, periods, and intense training. It causes fatigue, poor recovery, and lost motivation — symptoms that look exactly like burnout — even before anemia shows up.

A simple ferritin test reveals your stored iron level. Catching it early means quick treatment and a fast return to full energy. One test can save a season.

How do tests work?

We offer prepaid lab tests for ferritin, CBC, and sickle cell screening through trusted partners.

Who should get tested?

Anyone feeling unexplained fatigue or performance drops and whose insurance will not cover testing.

How soon are results?

Results typically come back within a few days after testing.
